Guadalupe Estrada, Clarissa O’Connor, Erica Vasquez, and I made a presentation on “blogs” in Saturday’s class. Tell us what you thought — what did we do well, what suggestions do you have to help us improve, what do you still want to know about blogs?
I think one thing that you guys could have done better in the presenation is do a sample blog from the beginning to the end to show the class how to create a blog and how to publish the blog to the rest of the class. One thing that went well in the presenation the teachers walk around the class and to make sure the students are on the right path in creating the blogs. Another thing that i like in the presenation the teachers had exercise for the students to do in the class in creating blogs and how to use blogs in the classroom.
Chris -- Thanks so much for your comments and suggestions. As I reflected on the presentation after it was done, I had the same sense -- "We should have modeled the creation of a blog, created a post, etc." Oh, well. We'll know better next time. I'm glad you like the activity.
